The wood is from a storm-damaged London Plane Tree that partially fell in Washington Square Park. Thanks to Ross Fadely for helping me haul the log back from the park, and thanks to PMC for use of his chainsaw! (Slightly better photos here.)

space-filling curve

I rearranged part of V's hundreds chart into a fractal-like space-filling curve. Can you see the symmetry? (Note that—unlike on the normal hundreds chart—every integer is next to both of its two number-line neighbors.) If she had a 16x16 256es chart I could have really gone to town.
